The Reynolds Group managed the cleanup of three sites for this client. This is the second of the three to achieve closure. Following complete assessment of gasoline impact in soil and groundwater on and off site, a soil vapor extraction and air sparge system were installed and operated at the site. The remediation system employed at the site consisted of 12 air sparge wells connected to a sparge blower and 16 vapor extraction wells connected to an all-electric catalytic oxidizer.
Over the course of 18 months of operation, the technician assigned to the project ensured that the project team received relevant and necessary data to analyze the progress of the cleanup and adjust the operational strategy at the site. The technician also ensured the remediation system was operational well over 90% of the time. Following 12 months of post remediation groundwater monitoring, the site was closed by the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. TRG’s operations and maintenance group is a key component to implementing strategies that lead to site closures.
